Secrets of the Universe

The travellers perform a quantum leap back to the very beginning of our era, determined to save a man they believe was wrongfully executed. At first they scrape by with odd jobs—herding sheep, of all things—but soon discover that their knack for learning languages can be turned into a livelihood. After much searching, they finally track down the prophet John, who, as it happens, has quite a taste for locusts fried in hot oil. Along the way they also encounter the Infinitely Wise Mathematician, who reveals secrets not only of the universe, but of the travellers themselves. Yet when they return home, they are met with something utterly unprecedented…
